TAKUMI — A SKILLED CRAFTSPERSON

Good tools.
A maker’s mindset.

Takumi is a Japanese word for a skilled craftsperson: someone who creates with their hands and their tools. Our name is a tribute to that care, skill and attention to detail.

Founded in 2001, TAKUMI set out to offer quality electric craft tools that are easy to use, with safety in mind.

Our designers bring together years of experience and a shared enthusiasm for making. From soldering and gluing to engraving and finishing, we create tools for people who enjoy the process as much as the result.

Practical by design.

Tools should make the job feel more approachable. We put useful features and straightforward operation at the centre of our design.

Quality matters.

Care in design and attention throughout production are part of our commitment to the people who use our tools.

Always making.

We keep developing our range as new ideas, materials and ways of making emerge.
